Ep 34 | Miscarriage, Infertility and Cultural Pressure in South Asian Communities feat. Asiya Dawood
In this episode of Every L Podcast, we feature an incredible woman who shares her stories of infertility, miscarriages, and mental health struggles. Asiya faced questions and judgment from her South Asian community about why she doesn't have children. She discusses the importance of safe spaces for young people and how important it is for families to acknowledge what people are struggling with. In addition, we discuss male infertility and the importance of taking care of one's health and diet before planning to have a child.

A bit more about Asiya:
I’m Asiya, the founder of Asian Miscarriage Hub on Instagram. I created this page to help normalise the talk of baby loss and infertility in the South Asian community. These topics are still seen as taboo and I question why? Miscarriage rate is 1 in 4 it’s about time we started normalising and supporting each other than brushing it under the carpet.
I’ve trained as a fertility coach to help couples, I use the NLP techniques to help couples/ women through their journey.
To get in touch you can find me on Instagram and Facebook by the name of Asian Miscarriage Hub.
